Sunshine Leisure Centre

Painting and Sunshine Signage Replacement
Painting across the facility is complete. New signage has been installed. There are a few signs left to be installed.

Sunshine Leisure Outdoor Pool
The pool lining was laid and contractors are currently working on sealing the lining. Progress on the grouting has been made. The focus will be on the droppers and gutters, and the bonding and caulking around the outside of the pool. The contractors have reported no major issues with the project continuing to track as planned. We are hoping to have the pool reopen in October.

Aquatic Bathrooms
We are actively working to resolve shower temperature fluctuations in the aquatic bathrooms. Plumbers are currently on-site making necessary adjustments and have ordered replacement parts. While the team has already replaced several thermostatic mixing valves, shower temperatures are still fluctuating. Further troubleshooting and investigative work are underway to fully fix the issue. We appreciate your patience and will keep you updated.

Brimbank Aquatic and Wellness Centre

Sauna and Steam Room
There will be some major works to the sauna and steam room at Brimbank Aquatic and Wellness Centre. These works will be completed both overnight and during operating hours. We will communicate the dates and impact to your use over the coming days.

Sensory Room
The sensory room has been refurbished with repaired lighting control panels so that colours and brightness can be adjusted on demand. New sensory foam rug, cushions and comfortable seating options. New sensory toys and devices including books are on display. We hope the upgrades have created a safer and more engaging environment. At this stage the room is accessible upon request at reception for our members and visitors. This access change is in place to prevent further vandalism.
